"I'm now in that process where I actually don't have to be waiting tables anymore," she said. "It's awesome when you get something produced, but you're completely succeeding if you get hired." The writer-director says he was surrounded by talented writers who were getting assignments or selling things and they all knew it wasn't going to happen for them. But the writing group didn't give up on those scripts even when they didn't get made nor saw them for what they were. And so it's part of the process. It's really great!"
