The relation between men and women had become divided along the fundamental division that she wanted to bridge. She saw it playing out through the revolution to the revolution, which was ultimately stifling the rights of women. Men would have to dress up their fee lings as though they were reasonable, while women were compelled to dress up reason as just feeling. It's mutually corrupting, because no one can be true to themselves according to wilstoncraft.
