The Jobs Report: The Unemployment Rate Is Down to 3.8%
Unemployment is down to about 3.8%. The last time it was that low was round about 2000. And the non-employed are people who don't have jobs but aren't actively looking for jobs either. Think about full-time students, think about retirees, think about stay-at-home parents. These are not people who are classified as unemployed. They're classified as non-employed.
