Bitcoin as a Game
Bitcoin is the most abstracted networked game that we've been able to design so far. There's no concept of price in Bitcoin, there's not even any trading in Bitcoin. The only way to change the scores of the game is basically either to administer the game as a minor and help enforce the rules or to convince somebody else to give you some of their score. And this is like the most raw form of game. It's basically rolling the dice saying we're just going to, on some level, no matter how abstract somebody will win and somebody is going to lose.
