Is There a Language of Thought?

Is there a language of thought, perhaps one that we even share with our nearest living relatives? We don't really know. But now we can start asking these questions. And one of the things on our immediate todo lists is to do these kinds of experiments with stimuli that aren't words, that aren't sentences, but things like pictures as well.
