The Role of Fructose in Mortality

The hallmark of long-term COVID syndrome is mitochondrial suppression, low ATP. This biosignature of increased glycolysis decreased mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation is also what you see with fructose. The immune response is one of the few things in the body that has a positive feedback cycle. It's amazing how complicated fructose is, but how it all leads in excess leads to morbidity.
