The Health and Social Care Secretary's Statement on Face-to-Face Versus Remote Consultation
The health and social care secretary said she would not be prescriptive on how GPs interact with their patients. Ms Coffee didn't actually mention face-to-face appointments specifically at all in her speech. Research published this week by the British Journal of General Practice found a significant rise in anti-GP rhetoric over the last year. But any suggestion that ministers will leave the business of deciding how appointments should be delivered to GPs and patients would be welcomed.
