Caroline Callaway is always comparing herself to Anadellvi. Nellie Bligh was born Elizabeth Jane Cochrane in 1864 outside of Pittsburgh. She didn't come from a very rich family, her father died and her mother was a widow. Her brothers went off to be like clerks and pharmacists and stuff. But she had to clean houses and care for children even though she was better educated.
