Is the Storyline in the Original 4's Game a Fucking Journey?

The original 4's game starts off as a game about rescuing your son and ends in like a very resonant evil one way. The screenshots for this game on Steam are a fucking journey Yeah, yeah Um, so where is this game development? Why is how far along is it? OhYeah, to me as far as I can tell it seems like it's content complete, I could be wrong But playing it, I wouldn't know that it's really access yet.
