The Importance of Virtue Ethics

Aristotle's idea of developing habits so that you may act in accordance with your values runs extremely parallel to the ancient idea of like a virtuous person. The criminal justice system is under this very hard and fast rule of like this is what is written and it doesn't matter if it's good or not. But virtue ethics are mainly concerned with how their actions affect other people. If you want to foster kindness in yourself then inevitably that ends up spilling over onto other people.
