Introduction
The Bronze Age was a time of rapid change, technologically, economically, politically and socially. The first civilization to be rediscovered was out of the Mycenaeans by a German named Heinrich Schlemann on the Greek mainland. Memories of the Bronze Age in Greece existed and were told during the Archaic and Classical Ages which were recounted in myth and epic poetry. We will look at these tales as they were taken as historical fact by the ancient Greeks and would also play a large part in the rediscovery of the great Bronze Age civilizations closer to our time.
