Is There a Place for Speculative Ideas?

To get anything to actually take off or have impact, espentially, you need to change culture in a certain way. And i think there's a place for speculative or utopian, distopian ideas. Those ideas are exciting and can excite a lot of people as like a sort of aspirational pressure.
