The Origins of Bach's Music
One of the first transcriptions of Bach was by Mozart. Dense Counterpoint had essentially gone out of style in the Classical era. The composer's new wife, Conchdance, inspired him to try his hand at arranging fugues. He made six arrangements for String Trio, Violin Viola and cello; five for String Quartet.
