I don't dispute the fact that church going is in decline across the West. But what is interesting is when you dig into those statistics a bit, there's not that many of those who are actually saying they're an atheist materialist. So I think it's hard to say atheism is on the rise. It's it feels more like people are just not buying into institutional religion so much.
