Using a Gas Charmatograph to Study Volcanoes

Lava floes are a really good way that we can kind of check the pulse of different volcanoes and assess the hazards. So i figured you all would appreciate the beauty that we see with the brutality of volcanoes. It's always a nice juxtaposition. And this is what we do to use the gas to learn about what's going on inside the magna chamber. Beneath here, i am using what is basically a bicycle pump and a piece of a flexible plastic tubing. In my left hand, which unfortunately you can't in this image, i've got a glass bottle that's an evacuated glass bottle,. meaning it doesn't have just regular atmospheric gases, it's got specialized
