The Importance of Art Education in American Universities

In american universities you don't have any particular course chosen and then you end up having a major which is your course basically. so these kids go into the university and they're not majored in anything because that's not how the system works. They only decided to become sculptors as sculptors rather than artists of some different kind later on. Their parents were often very very against this even though their parents when they were children were really emphasizing that they wanted their children to be happy or perhaps because of that it may have had something to do with the carpentry stuff that they did as children.
