With doctor we did focus a lot on giving early access to people, even before it worked properly. The first meetings we had privately you couldn't compile it t and then you ran. It didn't last us long. So this time we're designing a cloud product in parallel to the open source stool they mostly talked about. And when we launch, we plan on having a complete picture on how you're gong to use theOpen Source stool,. How our business will be a sustainable one, so that the tool can continue to exist in an improve right? Cause you don't want to be in a situation where nobody pays for it, but everybody is pissed off at you for not investing money

In today’s episode, Gerhard is talking to Sam Alba, Docker’s first employee, and Solomon Hykes, the Docker co-founder. Together with Andrea Luzzardi, they are the creators of Dagger, a universal deployment engine that trades YAML for CUE, and uses Buildkit as the runtime.
