How to Balance Problem Gambling and Cognitive Aspects of Gaming
The idea of wanting to stay to play and some of those cognitive aspects of it with the idea of problem gambling there's an inherent contradiction. How do you balance that contradiction? We need to do a greater effort actually teaching people about how machines work and what their expected outcomes should be, he says. There have been efforts towards removing ATMs or limiting how much cash you can actually access within a venue but there's certainly it could be argued that further efforts could be taken to help people stick to their limits and work out what is actually affordable for them.
