Introduction

The former iraki dictator sedam husain ordered his army to set fire to the oil wells in ceit after he was defeated in the first gulf war. In all, the arakis sabataged about 700 wells, causing billions of dollars of financial and environmental damage. About 25 % of the quate oil fields are covered by black smoke. It looks like a a commencement of a scorched earth policy by the araki forces.
