You've got to understand what the business is trying to achieve in the short and long term. With HubSpot it's like hey we need to fix retention and we need to get our customers using more of our product, therefore fixing retention. If you can find a way to explain what you're trying to propose and do from a customer point of view and a business point of view I don't see why that shouldn't be given any type of serious consideration because that's the win-win for everyone. It's a real marketer as long as the business is pretty transparent or you could ask your leader or even the CEO.
