Seven Tips for Writing a Good Back Story
Even if your opening scene deals with physical action and or high stakes, you still want to make sure readers are oriented within your story. Another little trick that can help is limiting the number of characters in the first scene. Focus only on back story that is necessary to properly set up the character. Although madis race well be used to one degree or another in most stories, it won't be the right choice for every story.
