What Is a Glycemic Index?
Glycemic index is a way to categorize food. It gives us an idea of how much and how quickly will that food impact one's blood sugar with a defined amount. So something like watermelon is high glycemic index, meaning your blood sugar spikes really quick. But something such as broccoli has a low glycemic index because it's more fiber and less simple carbohydrate.
