The Role of Stress in the Development of a Delusional Disorder
A tendency to develop a delusional disorder might be passed on from parents to children because you were exposed to each other so much. Or schizophrenia suggests there might be a genetic factor involved in it also. And an imbalance of certain chemicals in the brain which are called neurotransmitters have been linked to the formation of delusional symptoms. If symptoms are present, it's really important to go see a doctor, at least a medical doctor first for a mental or for a medical or physical exam.
