It was partly a lower thanand we might have been o some of the foundations or areas. The bits that you see are completely gone. You know, they're underground. They were completely sort of destroyed and made way for the modern louvre. And even that modern louvre is mainly gone. So it's like a horseshoe shape. There used to be another building which closed it off complete, and that was burnt down. It would have been a rectangle, but it was built up slowly. so it was a defensive place. And then it was a royal residence. And then francois the first new during the renaissance. He'd made it a bit more fancy. Then
