Hospice care is a continuum of health care, usually access when people are in the final six months to a year of their life. It's generally oriented toward comfort care, managing symptoms, controlling people's pain and helping those who have chosen not to ly pursue more curative therapies. Now we're seeing a blending of hospice care and what they's called palliative care, or comfort care. That's even happening in acute care facilities.
