Kidney Disease in Old Cats
There's not a huge amount left in the abdominal cavity now Jess. We're just in the retroperitoneal space, which is where the kidney sits. Surrounded by compared to the rest of the organs and the body, quite a significant amount of fat. The kidneys are paired organs, so we've got one on each side. Quite often in old cats, you don't have nice kidneys at all. Kidney disease is very, very common in cats. Older cats generally have slightly scarred, slightly ugly kidneys, but these are nice. And then sitting cranial to the kidneys, we've got the adrenal glands, which I've heard are really huge in cheaters.
