Asian American Values and Church

When I was growing up and going to church, a lot of our sermons were fairly literal. And now that I'm older and I think about the Bible and some of the passages, I'm like, is this just like a book of metaphors? Like how much of it is literal like word for word fact versus howmuch of it is an allegory almost? It's so crazy how Christianity is so different by church, by person,. Now that I'm a little bit older and no longer have like the trauma of going to church all the time, I think I'm able to look at it in a more objective way.
