We've always had fruits right like for a long time you if you were dude rummaging through the jungle there would maybe be fruits and you would get these berries or something. There was just not that pure refined source of sugar aroundYeah so table sugar that existed in tropical climates and it comes from the sugar cane which is one of the drivers of mercantilism colonialism, slave trade. The people the whole species basically got addicted to sugar and spices and all of thatthat's why when you I mean rum sugar cane all that stuff like tobacco those are a lot of these cotton these are a much of the slave crops.
