How to Build a Community on Discord

There was a time, everything was about white listers and making it harder and harder for people to join your project as a white lister. So what I did was I created a landing page that was only allowing people to register to become a part of the community when they joined Discord or followed Twitter. Now all of a sudden this person is very different to all those people who are joining but they don't really want to connect their wallet. And then also it was initially all about the community itself, but then later on it became about the product market fit - meaning would the utility of the project be more important?
