i think the answer is both. I mean, you know, that kind of bump into a person, spontaneity that comes up with good ideas is a good idea. But you still need a work place where people can go do their work. A good example of this is the picsar building. And i'd recommend going watching like a utuvidion, if you ever get a chance. It was one of steve job's better works of toward the end of his life. He wanted a collaborative space but these animators still had to have a space where they could just really dig in.
