Is There a Circadian Cycle in Eating?

The first real sense that nutrition was going to have potentially an important interaction with circadian rhythms came from observations in shift workers. Night shift work will encompass a range of risk factors, not just eating during the biological night. The fact that someone has extended wakefulness, sleep curtailment and this disruption is akin to jet lag. So isolating the effects of food in that context can be difficult.
