We're doing a space book club this month, and we've got three books to choose from. Robert is reading Nicole Stott's Back to Earth about her time on board the International Space Station. The End of Astronauts by Martin Reese argues that as robotic explorers get ever more sophisticated, that the need for humans to do some of that work declines. And I'm in favor of just sending a probe to Mars unless there's a scientific reason for a human to go - but it would be fraught with risk.
