Malcolm X - Black Psychology

Malcolm X once described black psychology in the days before movements like the nation. Malcolm said, quote, we hated our head. We hated the shape of our nose. We wanted one of those long doglike noses,. We hated the color of our skin. In hating our features and our skin and ourselves, our color became to us a chain. And so they cut an impressive figure as they strode confidently through these crumbling slums. Everything else around you is falling apart.
