What Happened to Vicki Arnold and Alan Lay?

Vicki Arnold and her best friend Julianne were murdered in Cairns, Queensland. Alan Lay was charged with their murders but the coroner ruled he did not commit them. The court found that Mr Barnes had used an improper exercise of the law in committing Alan to trial. He also made a point to apologise for the botched investigations and previous inquests.
