The Paris Club and the Debt Restructuring Process
China only recently started lending money to these poor nations and it's not playing by the rules. The process has always been based either in Paris or in Washington or in London, the big like Western capitals basically. China is just not doing it right but they've also explicitly stated that part of the reason why they're doing this is because they historically, wealthier Western countries are handling this. It's geopolitical advantage for them to rack up all of this debt restructuring.
