The Chilling Effect of Political Parties in India
Nearly two out of three respondents are scared to post their political or social opinions online for fear of legal action. So what does this tell us about today's India? I think it is probably the chilling effect of things, you know, where people are seriously scared about sharing their political views. People are aware that they are being surveilled by political parties for the purpose of winning elections and at one place, 62% more than 60% people said so.
