Freud's Symbols of Transformation

Jung sketched this out more deeply than anyone else and first it was symbols of transformation that broke his relationship with Freud. Jung touched on the religious in symbols of transformation and Freud was an enlightenment figure and a counter religious enlightenment figure. Eric Neumann who wrote this book the origins in history of consciousness also wrote a book called the Great Mother which is a compendium of the symbolism of the feminine. I talked to Camille Pallya about Eric Neumann she knew of him independently which is quite rare among modern academic intellectuals.
