The Importance of Connection

I write music because I want to articulate my dreams. And also when I play music with others, it's a way of realising my dream,. at least to some extent, of being more deeply connected with people. Miller Ripper comes to my mind in this context as well. All of these things that we do are ways of connecting with what deep down we want. As such, we could say that they are echoes or intuitions or seeds of enlightenment. But there are other motivations too, based on what we don't want. One of my reasons for practising is to do with death. It's an important part of my practice, and it's a desire to emulate the Buddha
