The Impact of the New Sanctions on Russia
Sanctions have been opposed since the start of the invasion by about 40 countries, including Britain. But that 40% which are not imposing sanctions means that the sanctions have not been effective. At the beginning, the Russian rule crashed. But because of loyal and effective technocrats in the central bank,. because Russia is a major producer of oil and gas, Russia's economy has not tanked as expected.
