The Lord's Power and Sovereignty in Human Affairs
The juxtaposition of human action and divine purpose has never been so stark. The apostles call upon the lord, not for relief from opposition and persecution, but for boldness to face it. There is a very strong presentation of god's power and sovereignty in human affairs in this chapter. How can an understanding of divine providence and sovereignty in events in y help us to act with the sort of confidence that the apostles show here?
