How Does the New Testament Control Our Application?

The old testament is being misused by health and wealth prosperity teachers. We are not under the mosaic covenant m because we don't have a temple. Only these tithes and contributions would have been tithes of grain of animals. So what does the new testament say about this subject? How does it control our application? Ecause we are now under a new covenant, a different covenant. There may be continuities. The god of the old covenant is the god of the new covenant. It's the same god, he works in typical ways.
