Chocolate ice cream is made by melting chocolate, adding condensed milk and whipping it together. It can be frozen for up to a month or six weeks in the freezer. The recipe was originally created with half a tin of condensed milk. But when more people started making their own they realised there were too many ingredients - so she upped the dose.
