How to Prepare for a Marathon

I had five months to prepare my physio who had seen me for several years. He was a physio for a premiership football club at the time and worked with a lot of elite athletes. We devised a training plan and basically it was all about loading 5 times, 4-5 times a week. I knew nothing about sports nutrition or anything like that. The first time I took my mid run, I was going on like an eight mile run and I had one at halfway. So I had like a gel after four miles. And I look back now and I think you idiot.
