Vedanta is not meant for acquisition of powers, but meditation will generate those powers. There are many monks who do that - even the kumbha,. male and all you come across these monks who seem to be doing lots of meditation. But they are doing it to acquire certain powers. I have always seen a young monk who developed the powers of just looking into other people's minds. So these powers are there. They come in spiritual life. But meditation is not meantfor that. And so when your wishes are fulfilled, you come back to the temple and one day, some day in your life, or even sometimes people pass it down to the children or grandchildren to untie one
