Aristotle denies by valence and this brings us to another strategy, which is to deny the immutability principle. Some people would say, oh, actually, propositions can change their truth values. There are these different multivalent logics, which I'm not really into, but it's out there. The exciting thing from a metaphysical perspective, as far as I'm concerned, is this idea that the future is open.
