Elephants Can Learn to Squeak

The sound is made when an elephant presses air out between its tensed lips, which produces a noisy vibration. One particularly talented packyderm, a female called paon, could squeak and snort at the same time. The researchers found that when mamma is a squeaker, the kids are too. Which means that elephants may have something to teach us about the development of human language.
