What Happened in India?

India has an NM carder of Oxford nurse midwives, a GNM carder of general nurse. The idea is that an Indian nurse who has finished a BSc nursing or equivalent would then go ahead and do 18 months to 2 years of master's level postgraduate specializing in midwifery. So our SEGA foundation is very involved in that effort. We just recently signed an MOU with the Government of Karnataka to establish a National Midwifery training institute in Bangalore at Vaniville Hospital for example.
