The History of Medical Marijuana
The modern marijuana movement can really trace their roots to the LGBTQ scene in San Francisco in the 1980s. Cannabis reform advocates were seeing that it wasn't purely medicinal use that was going to stop criminalizing the plant. The move to not only have it as an accepted medical plant, but to actually push to have it legalized entirely is what started where we are now.
