The Duc De Orleans and the Bourbon Family

Duc de orleans lived in London for two years before returning to paris. He spent the next few years restoring his family's properties, refurbishing the palais royal back to what it had once been. Orleans continued to mingle easily with the crowds a the play royal and hosted salons that attracted all the best sorts. The late duc de berry's miracle baby, who was born in september f 18 20, put an end to all that. Almost overnight, it became dangerously plausible that the orleans would one day be the kings of France.
