Venture Capital and Private Equity in a Recession?

We're seeing more innovation than ever before it's globalizing and it's great the entrepreneurs are everywhere opening up human talent pool. Some of the best companies like Microsoft Hewlett Packard and such were started in down markets so one of those upticks that we look for is a lot of excitement on energy and clean tech. We've been investing quite a bit in it with about 40 investments here out of this office and 73 across the network but I'm happy to switch to Q&A if you'd be interested.
